Trump’s monument decree, U. reinstates Huntsman Cancer Institute CEO and Jazz try to end Clippers series (4/28/17)

Play

President Donald Trump signs an executive order calling for a review of all national monument designations from the past 21 years, including Utah’s Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante. After protests by patients, staff and the Huntsman family, Mary Beckerle is reinstated as Huntsman Cancer Institute CEO and director a week after being fired from the positions. And the Utah Jazz face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in what the Jazz hope will be the last game of this playoff series.

On Friday at 9 a.m., Salt Lake Tribune Washington Bureau Chief Thomas Burr; reporters Alex Stuckey and Aaron Falk; government and politics editor Dan Harrie; and editorial page editor George Pyle join KCPW’s Emily Means to talk about the week’s top stories.

Each Friday morning, stream “Behind the Headlines” online or tune in to KCPW 88.3 FM or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast.
