Humane Society of Utah Bazaar and Doggy Date Night @ Humane Society of Utah

Join us at the Humane Society of Utah for a yard sale of pet supplies! Get your dog a new crate, your cat a new tower, or a variety of other pet items for only a suggested donation. That’s right, YOU name the price to donate to to the homeless animals here at the HSU.

We’ll have drinks and snacks available for purchase, so stop by and take a look at what we have! Then stay for our “Doggy Date Night” movie.

Bring your dog-friendly canine friend out to the Humane Society lawn to enjoy an outdoor movie! We will be showing “Homeward Bound” on our lawn. Before the movie begins (around sundown at 9 P.M.) we will be honoring HSU alumna and Utah’s “Ugliest Dog,” Creature, with a lifetime achievement award. Don’t miss out!

Come as early as you’d like to enjoy popcorn, soda, sno-cones, and other treats. Then put down your blanket or chair, and enjoy the show!

Give $2 to participate in our opportunity giveaway.

All donations will directly benefit the animals here at the HSU.

Please keep your dogs on leash at all times and do not bring outside food/drink.

Aug 1 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

University of Utah Professional Education
PROED 531 Bridging the Gap between Finance and Fundraising

This course focuses on the benefits of the Finance and Development departments working together in a non-profit world. Both departments are critical to the financial viability of the organization, yet they view the revenue generated from grants and donor contributions quite differently. How many times have you scratched your head when comparing your agency’s financials to the fundraising reports or been asked by a board member to explain the difference? This course offers the answers. It will provide proactive tips in structuring grants and donor requests to ease the cumbersome back office reporting, as well as how to craft a meaningful budget. Recommended for Development, Finance, and Executive Directors, this course will allow participants to share experiences and learn from best practices.
