The Porch Storytelling presents 'Somewhere in Between' @ Granary Row

The Porch uses one of the oldest and most enduring forms of communication: live storytelling.

We believe this is an art form that not only entertains but also helps people grow in empathy, bringing them together starting with their own neighbors.  Stories on the Porch are local—together they paint a rich and complex picture of the individuals that make up a particular community, which in our case is Utah Valley.  The Porch is a venue for expressing diverse personalities and perspectives, unique experiences, and the personal and cultural struggles we go through.

The stories on The Porch are sometimes humorous, sometimes sad or spiritual, but they always are true stories, and always heartfelt.

Both departments are critical to the financial viability of the organization, yet they view the revenue generated from grants and donor contributions quite differently. How many times have you scratched your head when comparing your agency’s financials to the fundraising reports or been asked by a board member to explain the difference? This course offers the answers. It will provide proactive tips in structuring grants and donor requests to ease the cumbersome back office reporting, as well as how to craft a meaningful budget. Recommended for Development, Finance, and Executive Directors, this course will allow participants to share experiences and learn from best practices.
