VA Salt Lake City Health Care System is starting up a Farmers Market this summer!
Local vendors will be providing fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, specialty items, and beverages. The aim of the market is to increase the access of healthy, local food to everyone at the VA. It is a chance to build relationships with farmers and small businesses in the area and make fresh produce a part of every week. Veterans, staff, and the public are all invited. The VA campus is beautiful this time of year.

Utah offers an array of excellent rivers for fly fishing. This class is a chance to get out and try the sport in a beautiful high mountain setting. Designed for the novice, this basic hands-on course explores the art and mechanics of fly fishing, including equipment, safety, knots, entomology, and, of course, casting. We will learn some basics in the classroom then travel to a local river for the day to test our new skills. You are responsible for providing your rod and reel (can be rented at local fly shops), fishing license, sack lunch, sunglasses (essential for eye protection), and either waders and boots or clothes and shoes that can get wet. A selection of flies and other tackle will be provided for our river day. This class is limited to 10.
