Our Community Calendar is a resource we offer to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar airs throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here.

To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:

  • The event must take place in Utah.
  • The organization promoting the event  must be a qualified 501 (c) (3) charity or political subdivision.
  • The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.

If your event meets these criteria, click Post Your Event below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.

KCPW would like to encourage you to make the most of your post with a featured image and links to your organization.

Children's Choir Auditions

The Salt Lake Children’s Choir, Ralph B. Woodward, Artistic Director is now scheduling auditions for young musicians ages 8 through 15. The choir performs in the areas major concert settings and will be seen on PBS this year.

Do not miss your chance to have your child audition for the Salt Lake Children’s Choir.  Members of the choir learn great music from all ages, develop musical skills such as singing harmony parts and will form friendships which can last a lifetime.

Happy Valley Derby Darlins’ Molly Morbids return to the Derby Depot to take on the defending champions, Wasatch Roller Derby’s Bonneville Bone Crushers. These two teams faced off earlier in the season with the victory to the Bone Crushers. The Molly Morbids will not want this to happen again and will fight hard to try and take the win.

Kids 5 & under get in for FREE!!
All ages welcome

The Westminster Chamber Orchestra is holding auditions for Fall Semester 2013 on Wednesday, August 21 at 6:00 PM in the Jewett Center for Performing Arts on Westminster College campus. We have openings this semester on French horn, flute, oboe, bassoon, and all string instruments. If you like wolves, running, or walking in a beautiful mountain setting, this event is for you!

Choose between a 5K Run or 1.5 mile Walk for the Wolves. Proceeds benefit the campaign to allow wolves to return to Utah. Register by August 14 to receive a Run for the Wolves custom-designed t-shirt.

Children receive a small wolf toy. Umpqua, the almost-wolf ambassador, will be there to greet participants.

Arrive by 7:30 pm to register and get a bib number,

Porchfest Salt Lake 2013 @ University Gardens Neighborhood

Porchfest Salt Lake- Saturday, August 24th from 1 to 10 p.m., porches become stages; gardens become art galleries; and over 100 local musicians and artists share their talents with whoever passes by.

The free annual event happens in the picturesque East Central neighborhood just west of the University of Utah (1200 East between 200 and 400 South, plus Reservoir Park).

Bring a picnic or enjoy delicious food options available from the University Garden Business District.
