To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:
- The event must take place in Utah.
- The organization promoting the event must be a qualified 501 (c) (3) charity or political subdivision.
- The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.
If your event meets these criteria, click Post Your Event below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.

Delicate, yet hearty and palette pleasing, mushrooms add texture and flavor to a variety of cuisines and dishes. But which of the thousands of species of mushrooms is edible, and which will kill you? We’ll begin to learn this important distinction in class, where we will discuss the basics of mushroom hunting, which mushrooms in Utah and surrounding states are edible, and of course, cooking with mushrooms. Our field trip will take us to the Uinta mountains, where we will hunt for boletus edulis (porcini), chanterelle, agaricus campestris (button), and morels. Field trip transportation is by carpool. Experience the Japanese culture and traditions: don’t miss out on the best sushi (futomaki and inari) and manju (sweet bean pastries) in addition to other menu items for sale. The Japanese Church of Christ is the home of the Kenshin Taiko Group –you’ll hear the thundering beat of their drums along with other entertainment throughout the day.

Join the Humane Society of Utah for The Whole Enchihuahua – a movie on our lawn and Mexican food on site! We will have Mexican food available from 5:00 pm, and at sundown (around 8:30 pm) we will be screening “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.” Bring out your lawn chairs and blankets (no coolers, please) and your dog-friendly canines on leash to enjoy the movie with the Humane Society of Utah.

Join us for an evening of learning and libations as we explore a variety of wines from around the world! Interact with various grape varietals while we stimulate your senses with six unique and memorable wines. Educator Jim Santangelo of the Wine Academy of Utah will guide us through the tasting of six wines of different styles all while enjoying small bites from The Leonardo’s chef de cuisine Zanetta Jones.
