Our Community Calendar is a resource we offer to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar airs throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here.

To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:

  • The event must take place in Utah.
  • The organization promoting the event  must be a qualified 501 (c) (3) charity or political subdivision.
  • The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.

If your event meets these criteria, click Post Your Event below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.

KCPW would like to encourage you to make the most of your post with a featured image and links to your organization.

United Clans Swordsmen Association Bi-Annual Sword fighting competition  @ Liberty Park

The United Clans Swordsman Association will be holding our Bi-Annual sword fighting competition on October 12th 2013 at Liberty Park in Salt Lake city.

Though the competition is only open to current members of the Association, all are welcome to come and watch this competition.

The organization, which teaches long sword, short sword, dagger, and grappling, holds these competitions 2 times a year, in April and October, and is an opportunity for our members, and the community to see what it is that we teach as well as showcasing the best of our skills in a competition atmosphere.

Celebrate the Spirits for Camp Hobe': 10K Race, Family 5K, and 1-Mile Trick-or-Treat Run @ Newpark Plaza in Park City

Celebrate the Spirits 2013 will be held at the Newpark Town Plaza in Park
City, UT. Participants will be encouraged to trick-or-treat along the 5K and 1-mile routes at tents sponsored by local businesses. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Camp Hobé, a non-profit
organization that provides a summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. Costumes highly encouraged!

Tickets: $20 per individual runner, or $50 per family of runners.

Monstah Paintball presents the Miss Monstah Halloween Tournament, a women only Charity Event! The entry fee is 30.00, of which $15.00 will go directly towards the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation!

This is a Woman’s ages Twelve and above Only Tournament where you can compete against other Women across the Mountain West.

At the end of the event the Woman with the most points will win the Grand Prize and the coveted Miss Monstah Trophy, and your name will be along side Monstah Paintball’s on the donation check to the Foundation.

Carl Jung believed that the culmination of the Soul’s journey is the inner marriage of the opposites within the psyche: masculine/feminine; conscious/unconscious; divine/human. The essence of individuation is the alchemical transformation from Ego -centered consciousness to the Soul- centered consciousness of the Sacred Inner

Join us for an evening of myth, dreaming, storytelling, poetry, lecture and dialogue as we explore the creative, transformative, and visionary potential of the conscious

Feminine and Masculine within each of us. Drawing on the work of Carl Jung, Marion Woodman, Robert Johnson, and John Sanford, we will investigate how the Feminine and Masculine archetypes, in both their positive and negative aspects, inform our sense of meaning, purpose and wholeness, the quality of our relationships, and our ability to tend to the “soul of the world” in the face of seemingly insurmountable. Theresa Holleran L.C.S.W is a Depth Psychotherapist, teacher, and facilitator with over 38 years of experience. She has taught graduate courses in Transpersonal Psychology, Eco-psychology, and Process Work, and has co-created national and international retreats and sacred journeys in both urban and wilderness settings on themes of embodied healing and transformation, suffering, wisdom and resilience, and the Sacred Inner Marriage. Her work is predicated on knowing that each person has an inherent destiny that can be revealed through the exploration of the unconscious and its effects on consciousness, and that personal individuation is directly tied to the fate of our planet.
