To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:
- The event must take place in Utah.
- The organization promoting the event must be a qualified 501 (c) (3) charity or political subdivision.
- The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.
If your event meets these criteria, click Post Your Event below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.
KCPW would like to encourage you to make the most of your post with a featured image and links to your organization.

Community Development Corporation is offering a home buyer education course on Saturday, March 1st to teach families and individuals how to prepare for home ownership. Home buyer education empowers home buyers with knowledge to make better decisions in the home buying process and as they live as a homeowner. Join Andy Jones from Djembe Direct and the African Heartwood Project and his large collection of drums to play, beat, and learn about African drumming and dancing. Audience members are invited on stage to experience the sound and feel of dozens of different drums. Then, try their hand at the cultural dancing styles of West Africa. This show is the most “hands-on” show of the year as the audience is involved right from the curtain call.
Ready, Set, Go! The wildly popular Electric Car Derby is back at The Leonardo. Use your inner Da Vinci to build your own mini electric car using real motors, batteries, cardboard, sticks, straws, rubber bands, wheels, and more. Fun for kids, even more for adults. Trophies will be awarded to high performers, so get tinkering!
April is National Poetry Month! Join the CWC in celebrating poetry in this four-part workshop series. We’ll explore various genres of poetry, learn to compose poems, and practice writing, revising and sharing your work. You can also submit to our annual poetry contest! Cost: $60. Financial Fitness is a 3-part series designed to help you improve your money management skills. This series will help you better understand your values and how they guide your financial decisions. You leave the class with tools to implement realistic plans for your savings, spending, and credit management. This class will benefit those just getting started in the financial world, those who are struggling to adequately manage their money and those just needing a boost to get back on track to meet their goals!

RDT’s Ring Around the Rose program presents MAMA’S WRANGLERS on April 12, 2014 at 11 am at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.
