What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way for you to subscribe to content on a website that interests you. Using a program called an RSS Reader you can automatically get instant updates from the KCPW website and from any other websites that supports RSS feeds. Basically, RSS gives you the power to collect and organize Web-based news and information quickly and efficiently.

How Do I Get It

To use an RSS feed you need an RSS News Reader. You can download one of the excellent free readers or you can use one of the many free web-based readers. The web-based readers are actually services that handle all the details for you. You simply setup a free account and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want to follow.

For web-based service we recommend Bloglines. It’s free and it’s simple.

If you’d prefer your own RSS News Reader we recommend RSSOwl. It’s also free and runs on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Solaris operating systems.
