OPEN POSITIONS
Pledge Drive Coordinator, PT
This new, part-time position will coordinate the station’s three annual pledge drives and help create annual strategies to develop overall growth of individual giving. The selected candidate will be chiefly responsible for executing the engagement strategies – including soliciting challenge grants and food donations and creating print, digital and on-air communication – that raise more than half of the station’s annual operating budget through two, week-long pledge drives in the spring and fall and one, mini year-end drive in December.

Producer/Fill-in Host, PT
The selected candidate will have lead responsibility for the production of one or more of KCPW’s local productions, coordinating and planning its weekly execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for local issues and nonfiction storytelling, a strong on-air presence, be comfortable making creative decisions, and have academic or professional experience in radio production.

INTERNSHIPS
Production Intern, General, 15-20 hrs
The selected candidate will be trained to assist with the production of one or more of KCPW’s local programs, including In the Hive and Both Sides of the Aisle, working on research and topic development, in-studio recording, editing, scripting, and beyond. We’re looking for someone who has strong written and verbal communications skills, an interest in communications and radio broadcast journalism, and who stays up to date on Utah news, politics and current events. Adults of any age are invited to apply. Academic credit is available but not required.

Production Intern, The Bottom Line, 15-20 hrs
The ideal candidate should be interested in communications and radio broadcast journalism, as well as entrepreneurism, business, economic innovation, and emerging technologies. In addition to research and scheduling guests, the selected candidate will assist the host with preparing “interview packages” ahead of each interview, which include background information and biographical data about guests, along with suggested questions and topics to discuss. Adults of any age are invited to apply. Academic credit is available but not required.
