Second Arrest Made in Olympic Oval Thefts

The Unified Police Department arrested a second suspect over the weekend for the July 25th thefts at the Utah Olympic Skating Oval in Kearns. The stolen property includes a number of cell phones, personal items from lockers as well as a pair of custom made skates valued at several thousand dollars. Lieutenant Justin Hoyal says victims are still coming forward reporting stolen property.

Utah Democratic Party Files GRAMA Appeal

After a year-long effort to make the legislature’s 2011 redistricting records public, the Utah Democratic Party presented its case to the state’s Legislative Records Committee Monday, asking for the records to be released and for much of their $14,000 in fees to be waived.
