According to the environmental group Greenpeace, tar sands development in Canada is scarring the land, polluting the air and using twice the amount of water used by a city of two million people. With state officials approving plans for a tar sands project in Utah, activists worry about a similar fate here. On Wednesday, we talk about the issues presented in the film “Petropolis.”
