Today’s edition of the Daily Buzz at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival features conversations with one of the directors of TICKLED, David Farrier about his film about the sport of “Competitive Endurance Tickling”. Then we jump into an in-depth conversation with the directors of NORMAN LEAR: JUST ANOTHER VERSION OF YOU, Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady whose documentary tracking legendary tv producer, Norman Lear opened the festival. We meet with Korean-American director, Andrew Ahn and his lead actor, Joe Seo about Ahn’s feature film debut, SPA NIGHTS, which is in the dramatic competition category of the festival. Continuing the hour, we chat with Will Allen about a very personal experience that sparked his religious documentary film, HOLY HELL, and how he survived 20 years inside this spiritual community. We conclude today’s show with the director and co-creator of VR experience, GIANT, Milica Zec along with her producer and co-creator, Winslow Turner Porter III which is featured in the New Frontier section of this year’s festival.
