It’s our first show at Slamdance and Sundance 2020! From Main Street Park City, we speak to Slamdance Film Festival co-founder, Peter Baxter, about the festival started by filmmakers yearning for a more independent grassroots approach to showcase their work. We also speak to director Tara Miele, a Slamdance alum that is premiering her film, WANDER DARKLY starring Diego Luna and Sienna Miller. In our last segment, director Shalini Kantayya talks about her film with MIT Media Lab researcher Joy Buolamwini when she discovers that faults in facial-recognition software not accurately identifying darker-skinned faces and the faces of women.
