Snapshot of homelessness in Salt Lake City

Play

Today on In the Hive we’re presenting a snapshot of homelessness in Salt Lake City. We’ll hear sounds and voices from a candlelight vigil honoring the 94 people who died on Salt Lake City’s streets over the past year. And we’ll hear from some people on the city’s Library Square who are experiencing homelessness, as well as from some individuals trying to make a difference in their lives.

Guests:
Pamela Atkinson, homeless advocate
Bernie Hart, advocate with Understanding Us
Shilo Martinez, student at The Other Side Academy
Annie Mastin, Park City resident
Several homeless and formerly homeless interviewees on Library Square
