Three of Utah’s five refineries are now producing Tier 3 gasoline – gasoline that has a lower sulphur content than other fuels. Basically, that means that it burns cleaner, reducing the particulate pollution your car emits by up to 80%, depending on the year and model of your vehicle. A new website highlights the places where drivers can buy Tier 3 gasoline in Utah. So how does it work? How do refineries make it? And what else can we be doing to clean the air?
