Utah’s vaccine rollout plan

Today on “In the Hive” we speak with Tom Hudachko, spokesman for the Utah Department of Health, about the state’s multi-phase plan for immunizing its residents against COVID-19. So far, Utah has given the first dose of the two-dose vaccine to a number of frontline healthcare workers and has begun the work of immunizing staff and residents of long-term care facilities. Next, Utah teachers and educational staff are in line to receive a jab, followed by people aged 75 years or older. And then? Utah will prioritize vaccinations based on age until as many residents as possible are immunized against the pandemic coronavirus.
