(KCPW News) A dozen Salt Lake County officials, including five newly elected, are at work after they were sworn in this morning.
Republicans now hold a five to four majority on the county council as newcomer Richard Snelgrove took office along with incumbents David Wilde and Steven DeBry. Democratic newcomer Arlyn Bradshaw also joined the council.
Three more newcomers, District Attorney Sim Gill, Auditor Gregory Hawkins, and Treasurer K. Wayne Cushing, joined reelected incumbents Sheriff Jim Winder, Clerk Sherry Swensen, Recorder Gary Ott, and Surveyor Reid Demman at the inauguration.
