(KCPW News) The progressive-leaning open-government advocacy group Alliance for a Better Utah is calling on state lawmakers to withdraw their membership from the American Legislative Exchange Council, also known as ALEC. KCPW’s Whittney Evans reports on why they say ALEC is bad for democracy, leading some to protest its annual meeting in Salt Lake City this summer.
