(KCPW News) Hundreds of theft victims may soon have their items returned after West Jordan Police recovered a stolen motor home. West Jordan Officer Craig Carroll says it was stolen from the city on May 25th and recovered in Farmington on July 17th. That’s when officers found hundreds of stolen documents inside.

“We came up with over 200 victims that we know of and that is in the fact that what we recovered is stolen drivers licenses, credit cards, social security cards, passports,” he explains.

West Jordan has placed a list of owners’ names on its website in an effort to return the items and help piece together the  loose ends of the case.

“We’re asking that they contact our office and be put in touch with the detectives to make reports of where their property was taken from. We don’t believe these thefts necessarily occurred in West Jordan. Right now we know they involved victims at least in  Salt Lake, Davis and Summit counties,” says Carroll.

One person has been booked into jail for the crimes. Police are still looking for Joseph Chatwin, who escaped from authorities earlier this week.
