(KCPW News) Plans for a Broadway-style theater in Downtown Salt Lake City are well underway. Yesterday, the public was invited to get an update on the plans and design of the building, and as KCPW’s Jessica Gail reports, those plans show changes are also coming to the downtown area surrounding the theater.

Lit’s not forget to connect the UPAC with the Capitol Theater, the proposed Utah Theater campus and the broadcast studio concept next door. Together, they establish an enviable downtown arts complex offering a vast spectrum of the performing arts to the world. The public can clearly see and hear the connection with each venue’s characteristic ‘voice of the theater’,a theatre organ, with a live performer welcoming them to their seats and setting the appropriate mood.
