(KCPW News) Former Democratic Gubernatorial candidate, Peter Cooke, has been called to serve as a mission president for the LDS Church. The retired two-star general and his wife, Heather won’t know where they are going until March, but say they are excited about the opportunity.
“I am a convert to the Mormon Church so this is a great opportunity for me to be able to pay back of what I have always wanted to do and that’s to be a missionary,” Cooke told KCPW.
Cooke says he will be comfortable with wherever they are told to serve saying ‘a military guy you are just told where to go and you go.’
