The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour (Air date: Apr. 9, 2014) – A panel of of local doctors and health care reform advocates discuss overtreatment and waste in our healthcare system, and how it not only makes healthcare more expensive, but can also harm patients. This panel was organized by the Choosing Wisely Campaign, an initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation, in collaboration with Consumer Reports and Health Insight. The panelists are: Dr. John Santa, Director of the Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center, Allen Ormsby, State Director of AARP Utah, Dr. Wayne Cannon, Medical Director of Primary Care Clinical Program at Intermountain Healthcare, Daniel Wolfson, President and COO of the ABIM Foundation, and Dr. Michael Magill, Professor and Chairman of Family Preventative Medicine at the University of Utah.
