SL Co. Settles Lawsuit Over Immigration Law

(KCPW News) A lawsuit pitting Salt Lake County against a man it detained over immigration status has been settled. Enrique Uroza will receive $75,000 after being held by county and federal officials for 46 days after posting bail. Furthermore, the Salt Lake County Metro Jail has agreed to end a policy of holding suspected undocumented residents for a minimum of 48 hours.
