Behind the Headlines

Surging coronavirus numbers and a Utah election recap

Play

Election Day may have come and gone, but the results of some races, like the 4th Congressional District contest, remain too close to call. Two Utah Republicans push back against President Trump’s false, post-election claims – while urging everyone to take a deep breath and calm down. And with Utah coronavirus numbers again shattering records, officials warn that the worst is yet to come.

At 9 a.m. on Friday, Salt Lake Tribune government and politics editor Dan Harrie, reporter Taylor Stevens and news columnist Robert Gehrke join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories. Every Friday at 9 a.m., stream “Behind the Headlines” at kcpw.org, or tune in to KCPW 88.3 FM or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast. Join the live conversation by calling (801) 355-TALK.
