The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour

Trust In The Media

Play

The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour (Original Air Date: November 21, 2018) — Today’s program draws on a Hinckley Institute/Salt Lake Tribune poll from July 2018 where 42 percent of respondents said they had no trust in the media. But what exactly does “the media” mean? That’s one of a number of questions panelists grapple with on the show, which features a discussion on public trust (or distrust) in the media.

Speaking on the panel: Law professor at the S.J. Quinney College of Law RonNell Andersen Jones; Salt Lake Tribune editor Jennifer Napier-Pearce; and Deseret News editor Doug Wilks; Moderating the discussion is Jason Perry, director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics.

Today’s forum was recorded on November 12, 2018.
