The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour — This week on the program, we bring you a discussion that examines the human rights and humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are facing today as a result of the ongoing civil war in Yemen.
At its root, the conflict (which erupted in 2015) pits the U.S. and Saudi backed Yemeni government against the Houthi armed movement.
Beyond taking a close look at the harsh realities Yemenis are facing today, the discussion also focuses on efforts underway to end the crisis.
Speaking on the panel is Andrea Prasow, deputy Washington Director at Human Rights Watch, an organization that investigates and reports on human rights abuses around the globe; and Scott Paul who is a Humanitarian Policy Lead for Oxfam, a global anti-poverty organization.
This week’s forum was recorded on March 21st, 2019.
