Using air-dry clay and optional holiday-themed elements like candy canes, we’ll create a custom handbuilt candle holder perfect for gifting to a loved one or setting a cozy vibe all winter long. Learn how to cut, roll, score, shape, and more in this beginner-friendly pottery class! Attendees will have the opportunity to customize their own take-home paint kits working with a variety of colors to paint their finished candle holder once dried. All supplies provided for this hands-on workshop.
About the Instructor: I create wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery in my garage studio and fire my work in my outdoor propane gas kiln. I love making pottery bottles, honey pots, and ceramic jewelry. My pieces are often unusual, and some of my favorite glazes have a metallic finish, particularly on sculptural work. My aim is to use a different approach from the work of other potters, to use my overall skills as an artist who is also a painter to bring my own perspective to my sculptural and functional pieces. neenaplant.com
