Tap Talks @ Scion Cider: Preserving Utah's Water Resources @ Scion Cider Bar | | |

Come learn about the new local non-profit organization, @Deepwater Conservation Initiative, co-founded by master scuba diver @Sean Hopewell.
Sean will give us an overview of how the DWC began, the issues they are trying to address at a local level, with a focus on how local citizens can get involved helping to support priority projects, including habitat restoration and other volunteer opportunities.

Touching on current issues such as drought and depleted reservoirs, the current status of Lake Powell and the Great Salt Lake, and diving into endangered and invasive aquatic species such as the the Quagga mussel, boreal toads & the Colorado pikeminnow — we’ll enjoy an informative and engaging education on our local environment, while sipping on cider!

Joining us as host for the evening talk and Q&A moderator will be local state Senator Nate Blouin, who is a vocal advocate for enjoying and preserving Utah’s outdoor recreational resources, and is dedicated to clean and renewable energy, and of course, tackling Utah’s water crisis at the legislative and local community levels.

FREE to attend, seats first-come, first-serve.
