After five years of construction, nearly $2 billion and a lot of hype, City Creek Center is finally opening for business. On Thursday, we’ll talk about the history of the project, the investment by the LDS Church and what the upscale retail development means for downtown and beyond.

Film festivals aren’t just for grown-ups anymore. The 2012 Tumbleweeds Film Festival opens this weekend with Disneynature’s “Chimpanzee,” from the award-winning filmmakers of “Earth.” On Thursday, we’ll find out about the art of making films for youth and the young-at-heart.
