No homeless shelter in my city, Hatch may have Democratic challenger, Trump has Utahns’ support (3/31/17)

Play

Cities rail against putting a Salt Lake County homeless shelter within their boundaries. Democratic Salt Lake County Council member Jenny Wilson rises as a potential opponent to GOP incumbent Sen. Orrin Hatch in the 2018 Senate race; he has yet to say whether he’ll run. And while President Donald Trump’s approval has dipped across the country, a majority of Utahns view his performance favorably, according to a new poll.

On Friday at 9 a.m., Salt Lake Tribune reporter Christopher Smart, Washington Bureau Chief Thomas Burr, editorial writer George Pyle and Senior Managing Editor Matt Canham join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories.

Each Friday morning, stream “Behind the Headlines” online or tune in to KCPW 88.3 FM or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast.
