For professional football players, the summer months generally bring mini-camps and free-agent negotiations. However, with the National Football League involved in collective bargaining agreement negotiations with the players union, the league’s players have been locked out from participating in team activities. But that’s not stopping one player with ties to Salt Lake City from keeping busy this summer.

(KCPW News) For professional football players, the summer months generally bring mini-camps and free-agent negotiations.  However, with the National Football League involved in collective bargaining agreement negotiations with the players union, the league’s players have been locked out from participating in team activities.  But that’s not stopping one player with ties to Salt Lake City from keeping busy this summer.  Between workouts, former University of Utah star Sione Pouha, now a defensive lineman for the New York Jets, has found time to start a business in Salt Lake City, and give back to the community.  Pouha recently spoke with KCPW’s Eric Ray about his career and his plans for the summer.  He began by talking about the slow start to his professional career.
