(KCPW News) In our special edition of the program today, we hosted a debate for Salt Lake City Council District Six, representing the city’s east bench including neighborhoods like Foothill and Yalecrest. Incumbent J.T. Martin has been in office for one term. But he took second place in the September primary election to challenger Charlie Luke, whose slogan has been “fix District Six.” Today, they both joined us in the studio to debate east-side issues like historic preservation, infrastructure, public safety and more.

After hearing these two men debate the issues today I am so disappointed that Tracey Harty or someone else isn’t in the race. I don’t think either of these men should be elected.
Charlie Luke holds himself up a defender of the poor and disabled. His close affiliation with Randy Horiuchi and Dave Nicponski should be of grave concern to the voters of District 6. He has painstakingly removed any mention of his past lobbying clients from his company’s website. A quick inquiry with the state of Utah tells a much different story:
