Segment 2:
The Devil Whale has been described as having a “SoCal alt-rock vibe with folk elements” and gorgeous harmonies. But when they’re not on the road (they played over 100 shows in 26 states last year), they’re home in Salt Lake City, writing and recording songs. The Devil Whale is this month’s featured band on KCPW’s Sounds from the Lounge and on Tuesday, songwriter and guitarist Brinton Jones joins us to talk about the muse and the music.
Guest:
- Brinton Jones
- Jake Fish
- Jamie Timm
The Devil Whale opens for Neon Tress on Friday, June 8 at the Depot in Salt Lake City. They play at the Utah Arts Festival on Sunday, June 24 at 5 p.m. Check out videos of The Devil Whale playing in the KCPW member lounge.
