Segment 1:

In light of the Great Recession, lengthy wars in the Middle East and competition from China, some warn the U.S. is a nation in decline. But foreign policy scholar Michael Haltzel says the U.S. is actually well-positioned for the future, but there are obstacles. • Dr. Michael Haltzel, Johns Hopkins University

Dr. Michael Haltzel will deliver the lecture “Is the U.S. in Decline? Putting the 21st Century in Perspective” on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall at Westminster College, 1840 S. 1300 East, Salt Lake City.
