CityViews 12/5/12: The Andromeda Project/Foreclosure Help

Segment 1:

Astronomers are urging everyone to get to know your neighbor. Your galactic neighbor, that is. Andromeda is the closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way and scientists need volunteers to help study its star clusters through detailed images captured by the Hubble Telescope. On Wednesday, we’ll learn more about the Andromeda Project and how crowdsourcing can discover more about hundreds of billions of stars in Andromeda.

  • Dr. Anil Seth, astrophysicist, University of Utah

Dr. Anil Seth will discuss the Andromeda Project during Science Night Live on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Keys on Main, 242 S. Main St., Salt Lake City.

Segment 2:

Foreclosures in Utah are on the decline, but some homeowners are still struggling to make the mortgage. On Wednesday, we’ll hear about programs and settlements that can help homeowners in trouble.
