(KCPW News) Utah is a step closer to joining a multi-state compact that would petition the federal government for state control of healthcare dollars. As KCPW’s Whittney Evans reports, proponents of the bill say letting the state control Medicaid and Medicare spending is more efficient and potentially cost effective than the federal bureaucracy, but opponents say it’s biting off more than it can chew.
