Hackers Access Medicaid Files on State Health Department Server

(KCPW News) Utah residents who are on Medicaid will want to keep a close eye on their bank accounts and credit scores in the coming days. A Utah Department of Health Internet server that houses Medicaid claims was breached over the weekend, compromising personal information on about 24,000 records. As KCPW’s Whittney Evans reports, officials won’t be contacting clients who were affected until Friday, so they’re encouraging everyone on Medicaid to take precautions.
