Community Urged to Help Share the Cost of Feeding the Hungry

Mayor Ralph Becker speaks at the “Dinner at Vinny’s” announcement

(KCPW News) It’s been nearly a year since the Salvation Army ran out of funding to keep running its soup kitchen downtown. Since then, the nightly service has been run by a small group of people, who say now it’s time for the community to step up and help keep the program alive. KCPW’s Jessica Gail reports on a new donation program that invites the community to take part in providing meals to thousands of Utah’s hungriest residents.
