Goal of New DWR Director: Get Youth Involved

(KCPW News) Earlier this week Greg Sheehan, a twenty-year veteran of the Utah Departments of Natural Resources and Wildlife Resources, was named the new director of the DWR.  Sheehan is replacing Jim Karpowitz, who is retiring December 1st.

Sheehan is credited with playing important roles in the enhancement of more than one million acres of wildlife habitat in the state, as well as with the expansion of the state’s fish hatchery and community fishing program.

Sheehan spoke with KCPW’s Eric Ray about the wildlife projects he’s been involved with in the past, and what lies ahead at the Division of Wildlife Resources:
