KCPW is seeking listener help to upgrade some of the equipment that powers your local, independent, public radio station!
This year, we face new challenges (thanks, 2020) and need to upgrade KCPW’s phone system, secure additional equipment for the studio, and finalize the last step of the preservation of the signal (a project several years in the making). Our charity wish list includes non-budgeted items that will help upgrade the station’s technical capabilities while also allowing us to more effectively operate, safely, through the pandemic months ahead — and more efficiently in the future.

In addition to what’s on the list, there are also some specialty items that require ordering through specific vendors. If you’d like to learn more, or otherwise have any questions, please email operations@kcpw.org.
Your support will solve problems like a turn-of-the-century phone system that cannot forward calls outside of the station to staff who work from home, old studio equipment that cannot patch in quality audio from external sources, and temporary solutions that have included reliance on personal equipment until new equipment can be purchased.
