Today we look at the global economy and the fuels that run it. After a hundred years of growth propelled by subsidized fossil fuels and cheap credit, economic expansion in developed countries is not what it used to be. Add in the massive public debt industrialized countries have run up on their kids’ credit cards and future generations are looking at downsized expectations. But a new generation of corporate leaders, striving to make their companies more transparent and sustainable, are proposing a way forward. This program was recorded in front of a live audience at the Commonwealth Club of California.
This program aired on KCPW June 26, 2013. For more information you can visit www.prx.org
