Payne presented a lecture titled Strong People Don’t Need Strong Leaders: Building Movements From The Bottom Up as part of the Salt Lake City Library’s Cultural and Religious Pluralism Conference. Payne discussed the work of American Civil Rights activists and their impact in helping create pluralistic societies.
