(KCPW News) Following the windstorm that raged through northern Utah Thursday, Davis County has filed a disaster declaration asking the state for assistance.
The declaration estimates that $3.5 million worth of damage was done to public infrastructure in the seven cities and unincorporated areas that make up Davis County.
The windstorm, which featured gusts topping 100 miles per hour, caused power outages, damaged building roofs, and toppled trees and light poles.
The declaration asks that the state provide resources to help repair and stabilize public infrastructure, and for assistance from the Utah Department of Transportation in removing debris
