(KCPW News) Utah’s hospitality industry could get some relief this week.
Governor Gary Herbert has called a special session of the legislature this Wednesday afternoon to address the state’s shortage of liquor licenses, calling it a “vital economic development matter.”
The session will also deal with a technical error that occurred in the State Office of Education, leading to a $25 million shortfall in this year’s education budget. That mistake previously led to the resignation of two employees.
Utah lawmakers were already scheduled to be at the Capitol Wednesday morning and afternoon for several interim committee meetings.
