Segment 1:

Vancouver boasts walking paths, skate parks, gardens, public art displays, outdoor markets and public squares. From Stanley Park to The Seawall to Granville Island, Vancouverites love their public spaces as year-round gathering places. An entourage of Salt Lake City officials recently visited Vancouver for tips on how Utah’s capital city can create more vibrant public spaces and on Tuesday, we’ll hear what they learned.

Shortly after their marriage in 1982, Ken and Brenda Gallacher hung up a map of Utah on the back of a door in their Salt Lake County home and started visiting every city, town and ghost town on the map, nearly 600 spots in all. They are visiting their final destination – Promontory Point – on Monday and on Tuesday, the Gallachers join us to talk about their discoveries from Abraham, Utah to Zane, Utah.
