Mia Love speaking at the Republican National Convention

(KCPW News) House Speaker John Boehner, Senator John McCain and Representative Paul Ryan are among the GOP stars who have put in time to try to elect Republican Congressional candidate Mia Love. The Saratoga Springs Mayor took the stage and was applauded by many at her appearance at the Republican National Convention last week. But her opponent, incumbent Democrat Jim Matheson, is going after her record and her proposals to cut federal spending. She joined us as she prepared for an event Friday with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

State Senator and Mayoral Candidate Ben McAdams

Then, Democratic Salt Lake County Mayor hopeful Ben McAdams has been building a coalition of Republican supporters, hoping to win GOP votes away from rival Mark Crockett in November. He joined us in the studio to discuss where the campaign stands and how one of the most competitive races in Utah this year will play out.
