Segment 1:
An American ambassador is attacked and killed in Libya. Fourteen Mexican nationals are shot, becoming the latest casualties in a brutal drug war. A gunman opens fire in a darkened Colorado theater, leaving 12 dead. Violence pervades every society around the globe and preventing conflict remains among humanity’s most pressing problems. But the activist John Marks says violence can be averted by changing attitudes and behaviors, methods he’s been advocating for 30 years. On Tuesday, Marks joins us to talk about finding non-violent, non-adversarial ways of dealing with differences.
