(KCPW News) The Utah Department of Health revealed on Wednesday that reported cases of gonorrhea are up 94% in Utah.
From January 1 to September 30 of this year, 633 cases of gonorrhea were reported in the state, compared to 327 cases during the same period last year.
According to UDOH, gonorrhea is the second most common sexually transmitted disease behind chlamydia, which is on the rise as well. In addition, syphilis cases have also doubled.
