(KCPW News) Last Wednesday, KCPW reported that a round of discussions between the United States and eleven other countries would take place in Salt Lake City this week.

On Tuesday, those nations were scheduled to begin negotiating the details of a trade agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP. To mark the start of those talks, dozens of demonstrators protesting against the TPP gathered outside the Grand America Hotel, the venue for the negotiations.

KCPW’s Ryan Cunningham was there.
